The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas

This is a wonderful hotel. Staff is very friendly. Fozie (Fozela) provided the best service. This resort is lucky to have her. More of a relaxed vibe. Quiet and beautiful. Very well maintained. 3 pools close to/ overlooking ocean. Beach isn’t that big. Good food, fish sandwich is superb. Will return again.

Wonderful experience: great restaurants, pool, beach, rooms, and everything this Ritz had to offer. We also loved our experience on Lady Lynsey for its sunset cruise. Look forward to returning again with our children next time. On the business side, the conference area and amenities were excellent.

It’s the Ritz-carlton which means when we booked our stay on St. Thomas with this resort we knew it was one of the top resorts on the island. The resort itself is lovely, the staff is nice and welcoming (especially Prince & Joe), and most everything about the resort is great. Unfortunately once we got back to our room on the first day there was lots of ants in the room. I don’t have a big problem with ants per se but soon when the lights went out the cockroaches started coming out; and I’m not talking about a few…it was more like a dozen or so. I had booked the room for myself and my two teenage girls and they were none-to-pleased but I convinced them that it was late and I would speak to the staff in the morning about rectifying the situation. Well we slept the night and I got up the next morning and spoke with the staff who were very apologetic and I reiterated that this stuff happens. They assured me that they would get a new room for us and to pack our bags … which we did. Well to make a long story short nothing happened, they didn’t have another room (which I felt was strange because the resort didn’t seem remotely busy) and they offered to clean the room. At this point my girls wanted out so I offered to make-up the cost difference for any room….nothing. We were leaving for the day and they assured me something would happen and we would have a new room upon our return…..we returned and no new room. At this point we were getting the run-around…..this is the Rtz-carlton….which I thought was completely unprofessional and non-customer service. I get it; I’m a practical person and realize cockroaches exist and are pretty much everywhere but I didn’t expect to not to be simply moved to another room. We finally got moved into another room late that night and after the lights went down more cockroaches. At this point I simply decided to deal with it and enjoy the rest of my vacation. I’ve stayed at enough hotels, and worked in enough kitchens, to realize bugs exist almost everywhere….the thing that I thought was poor was the customer service and the simple act of moving me to another room seemed to be a huge burden to them. It’s the Ritz-carlton….I don’t expect them to jump for me but I also don’t expect to be brushed off time after time

We loved the Ritz at St. Thomas. The pool is absolutely incredible. Poolside treats and snacks made our stay in the sun refreshing. The infinity pool is beautiful overlooking the beach. Strongly recommend visiting this location if you decide to vacation in St. Thomas.

Doesn't hold up to the brand 💯 name. Upon arrival for our August 15th thru 18th stay our credit card was charged a $600 fee for incidentals. If you don't use it all some will be refunded at the end of the stay. Room bed was awesome and you got a good 👍 sleep 💤 on it. Shower 🚿 pressure is lackluster at best along with the A/C. The activities offered 🫴 with the resort free were great 👍. Ocean kayak, paddleboard and 14' Hobie Cat( No experience they charge a nominal $99 fee as a refresher course taking you out for 1 hr in the bay) You are cut loose on your own if successful in understanding how to operate vessel. Food prices beyond outrageous. Breakfast buffet is $92/ couple. Good variety but not worth the cost. A $40/ couple worth at most. Drink prices are also outrageous. 2 mixed drinks 🍸 brought a grand total of $56. Wouldn't stay here again due to the high prices though service in some of the areas were adequate and helpful
