Hotel Emma is a boutique luxury hotel set in the old San Antonio landmark building built in 1894, originally known as home to Pearl’s Brewhouse. Meticulously refurbished to maintain the charm, history, and mystique of the 19th century brewhouse, the now luxurious hotel, a part of the Legend collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is an elegant retreat for all visitors. Quaint guest rooms merge together the industrial grit of the former brewery, the aesthetic of southern Texas warmth, and the elegance of a luxury boutique hotel. Premium amenities, attention to detail and spacious accommodations will ensure a memorable stay.

I was fortunate enough to stay at Hotel Emma while on a business trip. The level of service is unmatched. From the valet, to the front desk, F&B team, and every other person that works there, they know what true hospitality is all about. We had drinks in the bar, listed to live music, enjoyed breakfast and dinner on site... truly can not say enough good things about what they are doing here. There was even a winter / holiday market that had everything you could imagine. Can't wait to go back with the entire family and experience in more detail.

Every detail is phenomenal — service, decor, food and drinks! From the moment we pulled up to valet, Alejandro wowed us with the history of the incredible three buildings plus everything to do in the area. So many dining and shopping spots within walking distance. Perfect spot and experience!

I regret choosing Hotel Emma for our special occasion. Despite its reputation, the experience was deeply disappointing. First, the room was overpriced, and the concierge botched my booking for an in-room massage—a key reason I upgraded the room. The overpriced charcuterie board lacked variety, and they even forgot the champagne we had ordered. Adding insult to injury, the turn-down service barged into our room unannounced while we were soaking in the tub—completely unacceptable and a major violation of privacy. Dinner at Supper was the final letdown. It was disorganized, with terrible food and slow service. The server barely attended to us and didn’t bother to ask if we were celebrating anything. We ordered bread, and after waiting an eternity, we were told the first batch was too dry and the second batch was burnt. I ended up going to bed hungry after a very expensive and unsatisfying meal. Overall, I would not recommend celebrating anything at Hotel Emma. This was a frustrating and overpriced experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally.

Awesome service and amenities in a steam-punk redo of an old brewery. From specific dish recommendations from the valet parker, to a terrific margarita in the well stocked library, this is a first-class operation. Great location along the San Antonio River.

Outstanding experience from booking to departure! We have wanted to stay at Hotel Emma for a few years now & finally were able to make the trip down this weekend. The location is phenomenal. The hotel itself is truly so unique and thoughtfully put together. We loved the historical highlights that were pointed out throughout the spaces. The staff were also top notch, so friendly & super knowledgeable. We wish we could have enjoyed more of the hotel amenities since they were also so wonderful. Guess we will just have to book another stay!!
