It is great to come back to this beautiful place. The new rooms looks great! So classy, they were clean , loved the Molton brown soap. Great location, very centric, literally you have everything around, food, shops and historic sites. No parking recommended go in uber.

I cannot get WiFi in room or in hall way if you have a laptop that needs WiFi you won’t be able to use unless you use your phone as a hot spot. I don’t care if it’s slow it didn’t connect at all not even on first floor like reception had claimed. This is supposed be a great hotel I wouldn’t recommend to any Americans we are used to having WiFi at our hotels so we can work etc.

We stayed at the El Convento and it’s sister hotel the Palacio Provincial for a total of around 6 nights. Food was great, rooms were nice, but the service was at a whole other level. The doorman JuanCarlos directed traffic for us when we arrived at the hotel. Jesus P. and Victor P., Oswell, and Ricky all provided fantastic bar/food service. They couldn’t have been more helpful and added to our experience immensely.

We had such a great time at El Convento. Beautiful historic hotel. Rachel (at the front desk) made the stay exceptional. She was so nice, so kind, and so helpful. She went above and beyond to help us and provided excellent service. Sh le is truly a gem.

This is my second stay at El Convento and it was even better than the first(Which is sayong a lot because the first was great.) I love this hotel. It is located directly across the street from the Cathedral, a short walk from all the shops, and near some great restaurants. (La Caleta, which is directly across the Plaza Doña Fela on Caleta de San Juan has the best french toast I've ever had!). The staff is super super friendly, knowledgeable of the area and always happy to give directions and advice. (A special shout out to Candysbeth and Giancarlo. They were my go-to people whenever I had a question about anything.) The rooms are roomy and comfortable. Each room has a mini fridge, a coffee maker and all the other necessities. (My room had an ironing board and an iron. I would have preferred a steamer. I never checked to see if one was available at the front desk.) It was another memorable stay and I look forward to many more.
