Reviews for Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel Seattle
Very nice, highly recommended
We recently spent 2 nights at the Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel in Seattle. In short, it was a very nice stay and we highly recommend it. Built in 1901 the Alexis is an older Hotel, but it wears its age beautifully, and is uniquely and attractively furnished. It has a bar and restaurant, no room service, as well as the usual — and very expensive — mini bar and candy display; amenities we did not use, particularly given the many interesting places to eat nearby. The room itself was a standout. Quiet with very high ceilings, by far the most spacious room we have stayed in, in Seattle or anywhere else. We had booked a room with two beds, and the two queen beds, sofa, desk, coffee table and other small chairs did not fill 1/2 of the room. The generous space was a real luxury after the crush of two airports and the bustling crowds at the nearby Pike Place Market. For comparison, we’ve stayed at or visited other good Seattle hotels — the Sorento, the Inn at Virginia Mason (also rather large rooms), the Westin, the Olympic, and the Polar Club — but for size and comfort our pick is the room at the Alexis. Prior to our stay I had received emails and texts from the property trying to upsell me to a "Spa Suite". I had tried to ignore those messages but I was tempted enough that I asked if I could take a look. The example Spa Suite had a smaller bedroom and a very large bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. The room was beautiful but I much preferred the layout and spaciousness of our original room. All of that being said, the true highlight of our stay at the Alexis Royal was the staff. From the attention we received at check-in, the Spa Suite tour, the restaurant recommendations and the help from housekeeping, all the way to our smooth 3:30 am checkout, every interaction with the staff was professional, warm, and so very helpful. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in Seattle
Stayed here for a show at the Showbox theater. Took an uber there and walked back. No issues whatsoever. The area was safe even at 11:45pm. The hotel is clean, safe, and pretty bougie. Quality of this hotel is above the price point on this location. The room was clean and modern. Very spacious. Staff were great. We would be very happy to stay here again. Thanks for everything.

Clean, beautiful, great employees, nice gym, perfect location! Would definitely recommend to all who come to Seattle. The bookstore cafe was very good as well, I went for breakfast. The valet guys were so kind and helpful too. All the little things were taken care of.

Wonderful staff in a beautiful hotel. They upgraded our room for my partner’s 50th birthday and it was amazing! Spacious room with a comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was gorgeous with subway tiles and an amazing soaking tub. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location!
I stayed at the Alexis Hotel while in Seattle for a Kraken hockey game. Every staff person I encountered was kind, considerate, and professional! The room was clean, very comfortable, and had everything I needed! On top of that the location was perfect. Looking forward to my next stay!!!
