Reviews for W Seattle

Great Service!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The service at the W in Seattle is second to none. Every single staff person welcomes you with a smile and is ready to help with whatever you may need. I'd like to make a special shout out to Tyler for going above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay and everything I needed.

Good hotel in Seattle

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Nice hotel near waterfront & Pikes Market. Those areas are down a long, steep hill, so be aware! There was a $28 fee at checkin but can be used toward food & bar, also includes free tickets for the ferris wheel at the waterfront. The room was nice & spacious. Free coffee in lobby in morning (was avail at 6am). The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant for dinner but plenty of options nearby. The hotel didn’t have a warm vibe to us but that’s just our opinion. Otherwise, decent place to stay in downtown Seattle.

Very Good Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The lovely thing about W hotels is that you always sort of know how the visit is going to be — they are very consistent. If I could give this a 4.5 star review, I would. I can’t call it exceptional, but it was indeed very good. I was there for work at a convention, mainly, but I was free in the evenings. The location isn’t amazing — it’s downtown, so on weekends it is pretty dead. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around at night so I stayed in. There is a convenience store on the corner, though, that seeks teriyaki chicken that is to die for — I got it two out of the three nights. One thing that always disappoints me is when the fridge is full of expensive drinks already; I wish hotels would just let guests use it for the drinks they actually want. Anyway. 4.5 stars.

NOPE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I came into Seattle for work on Feb 24th-26th and have stayed here a number of times due to cleanliness and location. My expectations of service and quality is quite low when traveling for work but the experience this time was disappointing. I arrive around 2:30pm and with my Titanium status, I can generally get an early check in. But due to the booking, the room wasn't ready until 4pm because I requested to de feather. Without getting bother by it, I waited in the lobby and did some work. While I was waiting for my room, I noticed several were waiting as well. Some were obviously annoyed but again, I didn't want to waste my energy on something that was out of my control. After finishing all my calls around 3:30pm, I tried my chances and checked in at the front desk and this time noticed at least a dozen employees around the lobby and front desk. Only one guy running luggages and the rest was just standing around and mingling. I kindly asked again, "Is my room ready?" Response, "No, we are still de feathering the room." At this point, I couldn't help but to say, "With all these people standing here, no one is helping with cleaning service? I will go grab dinner and will come back." I came back at 5pm, asked again, "Is my room ready?" Response, "No, we are still de feathering the room." Now I am annoyed. Why is it taking so long to replace pillows and a throw in the room? Just give me a room. They finally did after 5pm when usual check in time is 4pm. Later that evening, I came down to the lobby to meet someone and to no surprise, witnessed two employees bickering loudly in the lobby. C'mon, what is this place, theme park? I am so turned off by the service. You guys are extremely unprofessional and didn't show a level of care even when your policy wasn't even met. Taking my service elsewhere.

Great view

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Pretty good. Upgraded to a corner room with a great view . A lot of traffic noise even on a high floor and it would be good if the gym had more weight equipment but for a hotel it’s ok. Very friendly service. No welcome amenity even as an Ambassador but that’s a small thing . Good value with reasonably priced breakfast options . The destination fee is a little tedious though ….
