Ten centuries of history radiate from the hand-hewn stone walls and terracotta floors at Tuscany's Castel Monastero, the centerpiece of a small medieval village called Monastero dell'Ombrone. The monastery first appeared in correspondence in 1044 in connection with the nearby Berardenga Abbey and over the centuries noble families transformed it into a castle. Thanks to painstaking restoration efforts, the ancient ambiance remains – guests from all over the world go for bespoke experiences, such as a Bentley ride through the Tuscan countryside.

Such a gorgeous Location. Magnificent Property. Fantastic food, especially Cantina, which is their Michelin Star resturant in the wine cellar. They have an Amazing Spa. I have 2 issues. The rooms are very dark & very cold. But I guess since it was a monastery, that the vibe...

The entire setting was magical. The hotel was previously a monastery, turned into a beautiful hotel. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The staff was outstanding and always helpful. The food and service was outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This place is amazing. We were in Tuscany area for 1 night to visit a wedding site. We chose this place because they were the only place that allow a 1 night stay. they are one of the very few places that allow a 1 night stay. We You truly feel the Tuscan experience and hospitality and beauty.

A fantastic place but most of all an impeccable and very friendly service ; the team is great and they do walk the extra mile for you ! We privatized the venue for a business event and it was a very successful weekend away with only happy people ! Tina / MaX agency Belgium

Excellent venue. Originally a monastery built in the 11th century and converted to a luxury hotel 13 years ago. Great staff with excellent facilities and service. Not cheap, but well worth the price for a special occasion. Fairly remote location, so make sure to make transportation arrangements.
