COMO Cocoa Island, The Maldives

My family and I stayed in the sunrise villa for five nights and had the most amazing time. From arrival in the airport we were instantly met by hotel staff who took us on a beautiful boat ride to the resort. At the resort the service was unbelievable the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Our butler Natey was truly the best, he was so attentive to our needs and was always available making our stay special. I also have to recommend the amazing facilities at the hotel, they have a range of water sports and diving and snorkelling expeditions which are accompanied by the knowledgeable marine biologist which I highly recommend trying. The resort also has access to yoga and meditation classes running various times throughout the day led by their instructor Nok who ran the most amazing classes. Overall I cannot recommend this hotel enough it truly is paradise!

We recently stayed at COMO Cocoa Island and had the most incredible experience — truly one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. We stayed in the one-bedroom villa with a private pool, and it was nothing short of amazing. The room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the spacious bathroom, complete with an outdoor shower, offered a stunning view that made every morning feel magical. The food at the restaurant exceeded all expectations. While there is only one restaurant, the menu changes regularly and offers an impressive variety of delicious dishes. Every meal was a treat — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was where COMO Cocoa Island truly shined. Every staff member we met was kind, attentive, and always had a smile. A special mention has to go to our butler, Binoy, who was the best we’ve ever had. He was incredibly professional, always available when we needed him, but never intrusive — the perfect balance. His warmth and efficiency made our stay even more special. The COMO level of service never disappoints, and this stay was no exception. Everything on the island worked flawlessly, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the whole experience felt effortless and relaxed. The island itself is a tropical dream. The beach is pure paradise — soft white sand and crystal-clear waters. And the snorkeling was some of the best we’ve experienced: we saw countless reef sharks, turtles, stingrays, and a dazzling variety of colorful fish just steps from our villa.

From pickup at Velana Airport to farewell, everything was absolutey perfect. We would like to thank every single staff member for their warmth, kindness, highly professional service, helpfulness. We really felt at home "away from home",on this small paradise island. It was a beautiful experience under all points of view. We'll definitely come back.

Cocoa Island offers individuality, privacy, unspoiled nature combined with luxury, very personal and extremely friendly service, beautiful over-water villas and excellent food. Only thirty-three villas guarantee that you will have the island almost to yourself. There may be more prestigious, opulent and expensive resorts, but you'd struggle to find a place that better epitomizes the original luxury of the Maldives: Vast white beaches mostly all to yourself, vast and wide crystal clear lagoons deep enough to swim in and, as they say, one of the most beautiful reefs. An unforgettably beautiful place!

The most relaxing and luxurious accommodations, wonderful staff, and great adventures. We stayed 7 nights in a pool villa. The snorkeling at all 3 house reefs is amazing. We saw a turtle in our first ten minutes of swimming from the room. Reef sharks and sting rays were seen regularly swimming around our villa. We did the shark adventure, sunset cruise/dolphin watching and guided reef snorkeling with Ilaria who was a fantastic guide. Ali and a great crew took us on the whale shark excursion and we had a great time, despite not getting lucky with the whale sharks. But Ali and the team searched hard for hours in the sun and led us to a manta ray, a green sea turtle and some beautiful snorkeling. We tried an introductory scuba diving lesson and Daniela was a great teacher. I was so comfortable despite my initial fears and would love to come back one day and do PADI certification with her. The variety and density of marine life along with the clearest water was unlike anything we’d ever experienced. A huge thank you to the incomparable Fanny for making our trip so special. It only took her a couple days to learn our tastes and she was soon capable of reading our minds! She is so caring and kind hearted, making sure I was well supplied with carefully prepared fresh aloe leaves from the garden for my burnt skin. The rest of the staff are also just so lovely and friendly, they make Cocoa Island truly special. The food was fantastic with so much variety. We did half board with breakfast and dinner and it was plenty. Regretfully we didn’t use the spa on this occasion, so we hope we can come back to enjoy it.
