The Okura Tokyo

Amazing hotel, a beautiful room with in room sauna amazing amenities with a skincare box, gift box, and free mini bar which is restocked daily. Average food except the independent restaurants which were phenomenal. Great value for hotel and some really kind staff. Thank you would stay again

What a great hotel! Fantastic service, gorgeous facilities, fabulous spa, beautiful room. I don't need much else! From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were attentive and super-helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable, extremely well-appointed with a lovely balcony. All our needs were met and I can't wait to go back.

This is the fourth time I stayed at the Okura but a first with my family. We stayed there during cherry clossom - peak season and everything was perfect. The rooms are lovely; the service impeccable; the location great. I also found it good value for money

We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels across the world and this was in a league of its own for service. Calm, architecturally stunning and the heritage wing is beautiful. The swimming pool area is gorgeous and having a swim was a highlight. The room was huge - and massive by Japanese hotel standards. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the pyjamas were delightful. Oh and a sauna! Our own sauna! The welcome gifts were also thoughtful and relevant to a trip to Japan. The restocked fridge was also a nice touch. We had a problem with one of our locks (suitcase) and someone came to help us in a matter of minutes and made suggestions of where to get another one. We also required help after we left and it was freely given. It is easy to communicate in English. Location is easy to get to key tourist points from once you know where you are - but a bit like staying in Canary Wharf if you stay in London so might not suit everyone. It was a treat for us, and had scorched it to be a one-off but when we come back to Tokyo I will try and stay again.

I booked a shiatsu massage and got the worst massage of my life for the money paid. The therapist was not trained and I have gotten better massages in train stations in Tokyo. The room was extremely noisy, next to entrance to the Spa, doors opening closing, people talking loudly and for some reason the therapist did not close the door fully. The music was feeble to drown out any noise. I left with a back ache because I was on my face down for 80 minutes straight, taking advil today to relieve the pain. Spare yourself the pain and don’t book any treatments here.
