With an incomparable perspective on the city and a singular, moat-side setting just opposite the Imperial Palace gardens, the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Palace Hotel Tokyo is a haven of hospitality – serene and refined, and imbued with understated luxury throughout. Paying homage to a legacy that dates back more than half a century, the multi-award-winning modern masterpiece is a sophisticated celebration of its country’s culture and a tribute to omotenashi – Japanese hospitality.

I would like to write a few words about the poor quality of the Palace Hotel. I attended a Christmas party at the Palace Hotel and the person serving the drinks looked down and did not feel like serving. Instead of going around the entire table, she just went around 3 tables of about 10 and looked down the rest of the time. The yen is low, but the price per person was 30,000 yen. Probably 15,000 yen, based on the quality of the food. The remaining 15,000 yen is the name value of the Palace Hotel. In such a situation, it is certainly tough to secure staff in Japan, but I hope they are well trained and can provide satisfactory level of service. I did not think it was a nice hotel at all, and I would not like to come here on a private trip and diner for restaurant as well. I don't think I will use this hotel again. I hope they have the spirit to aim for a higher level of service. Management should give training opportunity for staff to serve every customer to feel I would like to use this hotel again.

WOW- what an amazing hotel and we couldn't fault anything in our 4 night stay. This was our first time in Tokyo and The Palace is in a fabulous location near shops, restaurants, the train station, parks and the Imperial Palace. The view from our balcony on the 20th floor was stunning and so nice to wake up in the morning, press the electric blinds and see the city waking up. Breakfast buffet was 5*excellent and we even sat outside on the deck with a delicious coffee! The pool and Spa were faultless and very welcome to help with jet lag. All the staff couldn't have been kinder and more helpful and always used our names as a personal touch.

We stayed at the Palace for six nights. We found it to be a real treat. The location was perfect for visiting Tokyo. The room was lovely with great views from the window and a balcony to sit out which we liked to do in the mornings. The bed was comfortable and the bedlinen perfect. The bathroom with Bamford Products was splendid and a pleasure to use. And as for the loo...well, I want one at home!! The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and smart. The breakfasts were a real star turn and I don't think we have ever experienced better anywhere. There was a huge choice and everything tasted fresh and delicious. We had some evening meals in the Hotel which were always excellent. The overall environment of the Hotel was so pleasing with a lovely view of a maple tree placed just to the side outside one window. There was always a beautiful central fresh flower arrangement. There were lots of original artworks and a lovely aroma in the main hall. All this helped create a very pleasant place to be. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here three different times in November and December . It was consistently very good. There were many different restaurants on different floors . The location next to the Imperial Palace was outstanding. The bars had everything and the bartenders competent . The staff at the Reception , restaurants, bellhops, Concierge , Housekeeping were friendly and helpful even by Japanese standards . The price ranged from over $1300 to over $1500 per night . That was rather high

Second business visit. Luxury feel but comfortable, non pretentious. Large, bright rooms, comfy beds, beautiful bathrooms and the toiletries, turn down service and scent through the building complete the experience. Breakfast selection is delicious, restaurant and bar ambience great, amazing skyline views. Lovely walks to palace gardens but taxi/train to see downtown, colourful parts of Tokyo. Would return.
