Reviews for Palace Hotel Tokyo

Wonderful stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Couldn’t fault our stay at this wonderful hotel. Everything was just perfect from the room, to the food to the staff. Great view from our room with balcony. We are at both Wadakura and the Grand Kitchen. Both meals were excellent. Loved every minute of our stay here!

Great Place, big bill

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The service at the Palace was exceptional. My room was very nice and breakfast was delicious. It is across the street from the Imperial Palace which is a good place to stroll. The interior is only open on certain days. However joggers use the outer ring every day. The one downside here is it is reslly fricking pricey.

Excellent luxury hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Stayed here for a few nights with family, overall an incredible property! The lobby was very crowded when we arrived, so didn't know what to expect. Soon came to realize that the lobby was always crowded - no idea why. It doesn't take away from the lovely experience of staying at this awesome property. Quick thoughts: - ROOMS - Nice spacious rooms with plenty of natural light. Good closet space, and a huge bathroom with an awesome shower. Amenities are top notch, and the sleep mask with the turn down service is a lovely touch. - FITNESS CENTER - Excellent fitness center with plenty of strength and cardio machines. The swimming pool and hot tub are perfect - fresh water pool! - RESTAURANT - Had breakfast here each day. Excellent breakfast spread, both continental and Japanese. Nice outdoor seating with patio heaters, just perfect. - LOCATION - Good and bad. Good because it's right across from the Imperial Palace grounds - just cross the street to run this awesome 5k loop around the Palace. The hotel keeps water bottles and towels by the entrance for those returning from this loop - nice touch! Other than this, the location is not ideal - it is not within walking distance to anything really - everything is a cab/train ride away. Tokyo station is a 10-12 minute walk. Other than knocking off some points for location, this is a superb hotel - luxury at its best. Definitely recommend staying here.

Fabulous hotel.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Loved 99% of this hotel. Room was gorgeous, quiet and clean. Comfy bed. Quiet heat. Nespresso machine and tea in the room plus a refrigerator. The staff were all lovely. They bowed very time they saw anybody. My only complaint was the same breakfast items were served everyday. Nothing changed in 5 nights. We also had one dinner in the lobby restaurant one evening and I couldn’t believe the portion sizes. I looked at the next table who had 4 different entrees and they all looked like appetizers and for a lot of money. I was shocked! Other than that, first rate all the way. Bonus that the subway was in the hotel albeit a long walk and a ton of stairs but you don’t have to go outside.

Wonderful Tokyo Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I’ve stayed at the Palace Hotel many times in the last 10 years. It’s amazing how everything stays constant and consistent - from the lobby to the room to the service standards. Hotels usually age if they do not maintain it well or renovate it after some time. At Palace, there are no visible signs of renovation but it does not age at all. It’s like a magical spell has been cast over it. Palace Hotel is beautiful, quiet and understated. The room is also incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping does a wonderful job in keeping the room spotlessly clean and ensuring they promptly replenish the toiletries. Front desk, guest relations etc staff are all friendly and professional. Location is also great, a short walk to Tokyo station. There are plenty of choices for restaurants and food, both within the hotel and in the surrounding buildings. I look forward to returning to the Palace Hotel again and again in the years to come.
