My son and I had an amazing stay with Shangri La Tokyo for 3 nights. Seamless collection from the airport and straight to the hotel. Very swift and efficient service from the check in team and straight to the rooms. I had contact via Horizon Club prior to arrival dealing with Aisha who was fantastic from start to finish and we cannot thank the whole team with Horizon for their assistance in booking train tickets (and providing them) for our onward journey to Nagoya. Lovely lobby lounge headed up by Andrew (fellow English man!) who was always busy but found the time inbetween to chat. Would like to thank the young lady (Swiss) from the hotel who took us through Tokyo Station right to the platform for our onward journey. Shangri La Tokyo - You certainly lived up to your brand and did it proud. Thank You so much.

All met my expectations especially room space and floor plan, on a three nights business travel in Tokyo, no doubt the most conveniently located hotel nearby the landmark Tokyo Station came in as the first choice. Nevertheless the imperial garden room view was not that impressive but unobtrusively overlooking the rail tracks of the stations as many newly erected skyscrapers been partially blocking the view to the imperial palace. I am sure there is keen competition among the best Hotels nearby and looking forward to the Hotel can provide more complimentary or value for money amenities and services.

This trip was actually in December 2023, but I neglected to leave a review here and wanted to quickly recount that the hospitality and amenities we enjoyed at the Shangri-La were absolutely outstanding. I confess I no longer recall the name of the woman who greeted us daily in the Horizon Club and made sure that our every need was met, but she was a wonderful and sophisticated host who truly understands how to exceed expectations. The Shangri-La's location is not the most picturesque as it is a very busy and commercial business district (although the proximity to Tokyo Station and the Ginza was very convenient) but even so, I'd probably stay there again simply because the hotel was so fabulous.

Good location next to Tokyo station Good sized room with a really comfortable bed Breakfast was very good and had variety ( Chinese. Japanese, western, healthier options) Did not get a chance to go to the lounge but it looked really nice on my checkout out day as it was the weekend brunch

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights recently for a wonderful adult getaway to Tokyo, sans kids. The hotel far surpassed our expectations. We booked because of a competitive price and central location, but after arriving we discovered so many wonderful things about this property. We certainly hope yo return to this hotel and make it “our place” in Tokyo. Here’s what we liked: - Service. Hands-down, some of the best hospitality we’ve had anywhere. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better “can-do” team anywhere in Tokyo. The breakfast team in the main restaurant deserves a special shout-out, especially to Elena, who made each morning special. The front door team is also pretty special - it’s always a genuine welcome, with a scramble to help you with the door or elevator. - Location. We really liked staying adjacent to Tokyo Station, given how convenient it is to get anywhere in Tokyo very quickly. In addition to the trains at the station, the majority of the city’s subway lines are within a couple blocks or 5 min walk of the hotel, which opens up so many options. We also loved all the food and shops at the station, including the Daimaru department store and its amazing food hall. The east, or Marunouchi, side of the station - where the hotel is located - is more vibrant and has more shops and food than the other side of the station. - The Room. We were upgraded to a Premier Room, which was a very spacious and comfortable corner room on the 31st floor with windows looking west over the station toward the Imperial Palace and also north, up the train tracks. We could also see the Tokyo Skytree from the room. Even the bathroom had a large window above the tub. The room was comfortable and timelessly stylish. We were a little concerned that the hotel would feel dated, but were pleasantly surprised that, despite all of the chandeliers, it’s a very classy feel and not overly dated. - Breakfast. This was a highlight of each day. Some open have complained that the buffet is too limited, but I think those people are missing the point. The buffet here is not the main event; rather, it is a nice accompaniment to a fairly comprehensive a la carte menu - you order a main dish, then go to the buffet to add fruit, yoghurt, congee, pastries and other items that our like to add to your breakfast. We really enjoyed several items on the menu, including the Japanese breakfast, several of the Benedict’s, and of course the star, the soft and fluffy ricotta soufflé pancakes, which we ordered 2 days in a row. Again, a major shout-out to Elena for making breakfast (and our stay) a really wonderful experience. We hope to be back soon!
