Reviews for Ca' di Dio
Serene boutique hotel with a great staff
A former monastery now boutique luxury hotel with around 60 rooms on three floors. Since it only opened in 2021 everything is modern and up to date with bedside usb power ports, large modern bathroom and comfortable accommodations. But the real standout here is the staff. They are warm, friendly and SUPER helpful. Everyone we met was a fluent English speaker and hospitality-centered. We were pleasantly surprised by a room upgrade from junior to full suite with a small separate living room with a view to one of the minor canals. The location in the edge of the Castello district is fantastic-just far enough away from the throngs of people, yet only 10 minutes walking to St Marks square where seemingly everything starts. Our room was very quiet and also featured a massive walking closet-among the biggest we’ve ever encountered in our travels - allowing plenty of room to unpack and settle in for our 3- night stay. As a former house of the lord, the long hallways where monks once roamed continue to offer a simple and serene setting. Breakfast was included in our rate and was lavish with hot and cold items, fruits and breads, fresh squeezed juices and d so much more. Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended

This hotel is a gem in Venice. My husband and I really enjoyed our staying in this amazing hotel. Our room and bathroom were very spacious, with a great decoration. Ambience, service, food, the staff and everything made our staying memorable.

Excellent hotel !
Excellent hotel! Wonderful position and garden. Large rooms, large bathrooms, with bidets and cute fire slippers plus all the necessary products. Fine and quality breakfast. The staff at the reception, at the restaurant and the maids are very helpful and professional. A real Small Luxury Hotel!

Excellent hotel - cannot fault it
We loved this hotel. The location was perfect and the decor stylish - but it was the staff who really made this holiday special. Chefs Luigi and Gabriel really took care of my tiresome dietary requirements and did so with a smile on their faces - they genuinely wanted to cook the best food they could for me and went out of their way to source additional things I could eat. I ate really well and so did my husband who found the tasting style menu in the main restaurant superb and the plates very accomplished. All the staff were super friendly, especially those in the bar and dining areas and it was thus a great environment in which to practice my Italian too. We would highly recommend and hope to return one day!

Lovely Boutique Venice Hotel
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service provided by all the staff is a highlight. From the concierge to the barman, to the staff on reception, nothing is too much trouble. The concierge helped us plan and organise trips to Murano and Burano islands with detailed instructions which were great. Ca Di Dio is one of the newer Venice hotels, with modern rooms and facilities but the location is still very central and close to the major sites. While we didn’t eat in the main restaurant, the food we had eating casually in the bar and in our rooms was superb. The whole family very much enjoyed our four night stay and we’d highly recommend! As one constructive suggestion, the breakfast buffet is overall very good, but the cooked offering could be improved. More 5 star if there were more options made to order rather than part of the buffet.
