NH Collection Venezia Grand Hotel Palazzo dei Dogi

We stayed here for a few days as part of our honeymoon. I’d say - book with confidence! This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The decor, whilst in keeping with the Venetian style, is absolutely stunning and felt more stylish than some of the other hotels we looked at. The lobby is beautiful, and smells amazing. Everything is spotlessly clean, and we had the best nights sleep we’d had in ages. The staff were attentive and made sure we had a lovely time. The breakfast was great, and the little bar was such a welcome moment at the end of a busy day of sightseeing… We had gorgeous cocktails and relaxed into our evening. The garden is absolutely wonderful - I think quite rare to come across in Venice? There were little seating areas throughout where we spent a sunny afternoon with a glass of wine and our books, to escape the hustle and bustle of our city break for a moment! The hotel has a private jetty at the end of the garden which gave the hotel a truly luxurious feel. Location wise, we wanted to be a little out of the chaos, but everything we wanted to see was in walking distance/easy to get to via water taxi. We actually preferred the location of the hotel for evening meals as the restaurants close by felt authentic and romantic, as opposed to the crowded spots downtown. We would absolutely stay again and will be recommending this hotel confidently.

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful garden which leads to the hotel's private dock. We enjoyed sitting by the dock, enjoying an early evening drink, after a day of sightseeing. We stayed in a lagoon view room, which was literally on the lagoon, with the water lapping up against the wall outside. Fabulous view of the lagoon Lovely room and well appointed. Very comfortable bed. All of the staff were very attentive, efficient and professional. The hotel interior is gorgeous and everything spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a quiet location but still close to lots of places to eat and easy walking distance to the main attractions. Very good, extensive, breakfast each morning and served until 11.00 a.m. which makes such a welcome change from most hotels where breakfast finishes much earlier. It was my husband's birthday whilst there and he received a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the room and a lovely card. That was a very nice touch. We loved everything about this hotel and plan to stay again.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The lobby is beautiful and smells amazing. The staff is extremely accommodating and always welcoming us as we come and go. They help with all of our bags and everything we needed during our stay. The room was large especially for Italy and European hotels. It had a huge closet and large bathroom. The bed was wonderful and comfortable with fluffy down pillows and comforter. There was a welcome treat left for us with some special cookies. The mini bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. The bathroom has a walk in shower, big vanity and mirror and toilet plus bidet. The best feature was the towel heater! Not only does this dry your towels quickly but the warm towel as you step out of the shower is divine! All toiletries are provided including little extras like toothbrushes and shower caps. There was a hair dryer as well. The bathroom was well appointed. There is no detail left out at this hotel. The customer care is exceptionally good. They ensure every detail and comfort is provided. They are always willing to call water taxis and provide recommendations for dining. The lounge and bar are also lovely and they take exceptional care of guests. This will be our go to hotel chain especially this hotel in Venice for the lavish experience. Everything here was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Stayed for a special birthday for 4 nights. Can not recommend enough both the hotel and staff. Breakfast caters for all tastes. Even has an additional small menu for other options. Plus there was always both soya and rice milk out ready which was welcomed. You could even help yourself to prosecco. Nothing is too much for any of them. Night staff were amazing. Even sent me a bottle with a lovely message. We ordered transport to St Mark's Square and we were collected via boat at the rear. The gardens are lovely and im sure are beautiful when all the flowers come out. Theres lots of little areas to discover. Ideal location to explore Venice. We had the most amazing time

The hotel staff were great from arrival to departure, friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, with great decoration. We slept well in the large comfortable bed. Breakfast had a lot of choice and was beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this hotel it is in the quieter section of Venice also which helped because the other side was very, very busy with the carnival celebrations.
