When calling Washington DC home, if only for a short period, there are few addresses as prestigious as the one at which AKA White House resides. Just blocks from the actual White House, AKA can call the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Treasury Department and the International Monetary Fund its close neighbors. In a newly renovated building, spacious apartments are decorated with bold, clean lines and chic furniture for comfort and style while you are residing in the Capital city. With the services and amenities of a five-star hotel and the easy comfort of home, AKA White House will make you feel positively presidential.

Best North American hotel we have stayed in! Fantastic staff - friendly, helpful and informative. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was clean, modern and exceptionally well-equipped - felt like home! Location was perfect - within walking distance of the National Mall, White House, Smithsonian Museums. If we are fortunate enough to visit this beautiful city again, we will book at the AKA White House!

Pros + great location! Easy walking distance to most attractions and easy access to metro + very helpful and friendly staff + very spacious rooms. + provided us with laundry tablets, water etc + good acoustics and nice and quiet Cons - don’t forget the credit card you made the booking with - didn’t use many amenities but is more like a serviced apartment - bathroom shower could be better

Extended business stay. Location was perfect for needs. Room was nice but dated; spacious but the details were missing. Appreciated the laundry in room. Didn’t appreciate room over the garbage collection site - very noisy. Staff very friendly. Free water on demand.

The staff here are wonderful. Shelique, Sergio, and Kelli were fantastic. The suite was spacious, clean, and tasteful with understated decor. The hand towels are Frette - the finest in luxury hotels. I had almost given up on hybrid apartment/boutique hotels after horrible experiences with Sonder, but AKA does it right. Excellent location two blocks from the White House. Really cute, fun in house movie theater, and live music in the evening. The suite has plenty of outlets. My only complaint is underneath the kitchen sink where the recycling bin is should be bleached to get rid of the mold smell.

AKA Whitehouse is a nice Apartahotel building. What i mean is that even if there is a front desk and a bar (with limited hours), the property is made of apartments with a kitchen (full), living room, and bedroom. It can be a nice option if you (i) do not breakfast service or you can cook it yourself; and (ii) are willing to travel with some minimal provisions or you are willing to buy stuff nearby. The place is located near the White House, World Bank and IMF so that can work. And the property is very well maintained. But of would help if they provided some minimal provisions such as coffee, sugar, etc. Also, be ready to do your bed!
