Amazing service, comfort, view and restaurant option. There is the Tatte bakery around the corner for a nice quick breakfast or lunch along with some shopping. Walkable to the Mall, Chinatown and the museums. The Concierge made us a reservation when we asked for a local gastro pub and he chose Capital Brewing, which was a let down. But he was generally helpful. All staff go out of their way to serve.

The hotel was amazing the staff, especially Dymond front desk and Rebecca Manager were absolutely amazing! My wife even rode in the elevator with Paris Hilton! It was amazing! They made us feel like royalty! Food is the best at the Estuary, and Edgar at the bar took care of us like we were the only ones that mattered!

Not five star by any means but a nice hotel. We loved the Chesapeake bay fries more than anything there- at the Estuary. The drinks were good and the vibe was nice for a small group or quick night’s stay. The Estuary met a few challenges as we stayed during a busy convention. We were seated but never served for dinner one night. It was pretty odd. Customer service is great once they notice you (we stopped the day prior for fries). The room: nice decor in our King room. Views of the city/ building across from us. The furniture and tables are showing signs of wear… There were stains on the curtain (if you’re going to have drapes in the bathroom they should be spotless). Overall cleanliness: we had to clean our room again- just a better wipe down. We saw hair on the toilet and sink- didn’t expect that for a five star. Customer service: very friendly, they greet you with a smile and do nothing to make things better. Not five star- from the feeling you get walking in to leaving- it felt like a well decorated doubletree hotel without the warm cookies. Try a historic hotel with better overall five star experience.

The greatest thing about the Conrad is the service. We actually had a problem early on in our stay, but when the team responded quickly and effectively -- and with heart -- we fell in love with the place. And everyone we interacted with really worked to make our stay special. Note that this is a big hotel, but it somehow manages to feel like a boutique. The service is the key reason, but so is the layout -- the hotel is x-shaped, so there are no long corridors. Our room was stylish and extremely comfortable. Bar and restaurant were both great.

This is a solid 4-star hotel, but hiccups at registration and breakfast dining warrant the rating. As Hilton Honors members, we were not given a sheet of paper that had the rules of the hotel, I.e. you must make reservations to have breakfast in your own hotel. Additionally, they did not tell us that breakfast was not fully covered under the Amex Fine Hotels program. The man at registration on the first floor was not accommodating and did not explain any of this to us. When we were about to have breakfast on the Sunday we were leaving, we were told by a very rude woman that we needed to make a reservation. She was rude not only to us, but to three other guests who were put off by her surly and unaccommodating behavior. The manager made it all go away, but the fact is that these types of hiccups should not happen at a true 5-star property. Kudos to Stephanie, Janice, and the Peruvian server (we did not get his name) at breakfast and Danielle at reception for great service.
