I was in town visiting family and decided to stay at this hotel, and wow, I was blown away. It has such a classic, charming vibe, but feels cozy and intimate—like a little gem in the middle of the city. The service was amazing; the staff went above and beyond, always making sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive. My room was beautiful, with great attention to every detail—soft linens, elegant décor, and even a sweet chocolates at turndown. I felt so well taken care of, and the whole experience was just special. Definitely a place I’d return to next time I’m in DC!

We stayed at The Jefferson during peak bloom weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better staycation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, their warmth and attention to detail truly set the tone for our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade, and our room was elegant, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The location was ideal for visiting the Tidal Basin, yet the hotel felt like a calm retreat from the busy city. Cocktails at Quill and dinner in The Greenhouse were both standouts, with excellent service throughout. Even with DC at its busiest, The Jefferson offered a peaceful, luxurious escape. It was totally worth not fighting the traffic for the weekend. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Super friendly, helpful staff.! The hotel is very clean; rooms, lobby, restaurants, and sitting areas. The two restaurants, Greenhouse and The Quill are very good. Very attentive staff at both places. Would highly recommend this hotel!

I paid a premium to stay at this hotel based on the reviews. I just checked in and was shocked at how badly we were treated. Was told they could not accommodate us because we booked through Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts which was a "Third Party Booking Service". It took us considerable effort to have them assist us with checking into a room under my wife's name. We asked them about the complimentary upgrade with Amex and they immediately said no availability but it was clear they did not look. I checked online and they certainly have availability for new reservations. It has been a long time since I had a luxury hotel treat us with such snobbishness. Very disappointing and will not stay here again. If I did not check in so late would have tried to change hotels tonight.

My husband and I spent Valentine's Day weekend at the Jefferson. It was so lovely. From the wonderful location, the staff greeting us as we pulled in and taking our car, to the check in and the bell hop taking our luggage, everyone was responsive, pleasant an informative. Our room was beautiful, with cookies on arrival, candy and turn down at night. The library is old worldly delightful. The bar cozy and pleasant. And did I say how wonderful breakfast was? I can't say enough good things about this hotel.
