Returned to Ritz-Carlton Washington for a short visit after having been there a number of years ago and had a terrific stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and definitely up to the usual Ritz-Carlton standard. We were on the Club level and enjoyed stopping by the Club Lounge very much. The staff at the Club Lounge provided exceptional, friendly service. Housekeeping was on point and the staff at reception were wonderful, notably Jerry who was very friendly and helpful. Will not hesitate to return to the Ritz-Carlton the next time that we are in the Washington DC area.

We recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., for five nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The Easter egg hunt was beautifully organized and such a fun highlight for the kids! A special thank you to the Club Lounge staff who made our stay extra special. Senait, Mei, Jenny, and Diana were all amazing—so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. There was also a tall gentleman whose name I didn’t catch, but he was equally fantastic and helpful. Every part of our experience was smooth and thoughtful. Room service was incredibly fast—always arriving within minutes—and the staff across the board showed genuine care and professionalism. Thank you to the entire Ritz-Carlton team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to coming back!

We really enjoyed our night there and wish we could have stayed longer. Room was spacious and comfortable enough although I was suprised by the lack of a coffee machine and a kettle for a hotel of this standing, when you can find them at any select-service hotels now. We also had an issue with our shower that had no hot water and took an hour to fix, had to leave for work without showering... However, the highlight of our stay was Damir at the front desk, thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome, we really appreciate you !

From the moment I checked in through check out the experience was exceptional. Especially Camille at the front desk who I felt like tried to get to know me and make my stay as special as possible. The food, the turndown service, and overall stay was great.

When planning a visit to DC for cherry blossom festivities, we opted to try this Ritz Carlton location in the West End neighborhood. We had stayed at the Ritz Pentagon City before, but this location seemed more conducive to walking and enjoying springtime in DC. This location was definitely a bit more lux than Pentagon City. We booked parking in advance via Spot Hero rather than using valet services at the hotel (because they're the same garage, which is actually attached to the hotel anyways). Saved us about $100 + tips. Spot Hero offered "in and out" but given the weather and this hotel's location, we were able to walk everywhere. Upon arrival, we noted that the lobby is beautiful but can become a little congested with afternoon check-ins and gathering groups. We have Marriott status but were not offered an upgrade (however, we were able to switch from double bed to king room, based on our preferences). Not a big deal because it was a busy weekend in DC, and we were honestly just happy to be there anyways. The standard king room provided a very comfortable bed, closet (robes, safe, ironing board, laundry bags), large marble bathroom (bathtub, smaller shower, enclosed toilet, large vanity, slippers, Diptyque soaps (agree with another reviewer that the hand soap smells unpleasant, however)). The room itself felt spacious enough for all of our luggage. AC did have a tendency to be quite loud and our room welcomed A LOT of street noise (sirens, cars honking, etc) but we did not book a "garden view" room. TV had Netflix which I appreciated, as well as the turndown service chocolates and waterbottles after a long day. Overall, the hotel was very nice, pretty much exactly what I expected. We were out and about most of the weekend, so we did not indulge in the 5:30pm cookies or dine at the restaurants. Nothing about the stay was exceptional, but we also lay low as guests -- as mentioned, we were bopping around town during the day and eating at restaurants all over town -- we hardly encountered any staff. We did, however, enjoy exploring some of the spots in the surrounding neighborhood: Chef Geoff's for happy hour, Blank Street Coffee, Tatte Bakery, and classic Call Your Mother. This area is quite bustling on the weekends, so expect a wait at some of these local spots.
