It was perfect except the sauna & hot tub were broken. & the pool was an ice bath. Excellent vibes otherwise

Nice hotel with iconic history
Enjoyed staying at this hotel. We wanted to check it off the things-to-do list in DC. It is a 15 minute cab/uber from Reagan Nat'l. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from Metro access at Foggy Bottom. Also, plenty of restaurants in the Georgetown Waterfront are within walking distance. Depending on the room, views of the Potomac River are great. The room rating was only a 3 because our room did not have a fully enclosed shower. The bathroom floor around the tub would have standing water and this created a bad slip hazard.

Great stay at the Watergate Hotel! Personnel is friendly and genuinely cares that we are comfortable. Rooms and bathrooms are nicely decorated and very clean.

Amazing stay at the Watergate!
When we checked in the staff said they had upgraded our room, so we saidthanks, checked in and were taken to our”upgraded” room. Oh my goodness! We were taken to one on the two BEST suites in the hotel! It was amazing, the size of the suite, the views of the water, everything was perfect and beyond our wildest expectations. We want to say how much we appreciated this wonderful surprise, and especially thank Anwar, Judit, Aziz and Mesfin for making us so comfortable, as well as Miguel, our server at the Kingbird. Anwar was especially helpful and considerate when showing us the suite. The Watergate has customer service mastered!

Friendly staff and consistently a great place to stay
We stayed here while visiting my sister in DC. This is probably our seven or eighth time staying and it’s consistently great. This time they even allowed my nine-year-old to play on the grand piano! He was so happy.
