Fantastic stay!
The location and staff were excellent. The balcony and river view was fantastic. We really appreciated the marketing team’s creativity and humor in owning the history of the hotel. The business center was also comfortable enough to work and take a few conference calls. The gift at check was a really nice and much appreciated touch!

Great service from the valet service to the staff. we appreciated the great tour of the scandal room with Anteneh. The front desk went above and beyond for a great stay. The room had the most iconic view from a private balcony. The room itself was clean and comfortable as you would expect.

Mouse running around in dining area
We chose to stay at this hotel because it was close to The Kennedy Center. Before going out we decided to eat at the Kingsbird Restaurant downstairs. While waiting for our food we saw a mouse running around. One of the staff just happened to be walking down the stairs and I waved for him to come over because our waiter was not around. When the gentleman was walking towards us the mouse ran out in front of him and he said “I saw it.” The waiter and manager both act like it was the first time when in fact it wasn’t after doing some research. Never again!

Great hotel - highly recommend
We stayed at the Watergate with our children for 2 nights recently. We had a lovely suite and I was really impressed with the rooms - super luxurious and really comfy beds. Staff couldnt have been more friendly, and the pool and jacuzzi was a lovely addition that our kids (and the adults!) absolutely loved. Location is great, really central. We had breakfast in the restaurant one morning but otherwise ate out and got room service once night which was great. Overall I really highly recommend - super hotel that is luxurious and very central, and worked really well for us. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel in a great location
Great hotel, staff were friendly and welcoming & it was very clean. We choose it mainly for the location, walking to the waterfront and Georgetown in under 15 mins. We also walked to the Whitehorse and the museums - but this took longer. The pol and spa area were outstanding to unwind in after a day out walking in subzero temperatures.
