Step foot in our luxury hotel in Washington D.C. and discover an urban resort located along the banks of the Potomac River. Here, you’ll uncover a hotel unlike anything in Washington D.C. — a place where modern design blends with an iconic landmark to redefine luxury. The Watergate Hotel's flowing avant-garde architecture was designed by Luigi Moretti to emulate the mighty Potomac, and its stunning new Ron Arad-designed interior lives up to the building's original elegance. Complementing the hotel's new, modern feel are the retro-chic staff uniforms, made by Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant. The Watergate Hotel takes classic elegance and bold mid-century modern design and adds all of the extravagance and warmth of contemporary luxury. This one-of-a-kind hotel pays tribute to its own storied past, while paving the way for a new chapter to be written.

The Watergate hotel is simply wonderful for many reasons. First, it is of major historical significance. In fact, you can get a fascinating and informative tour of the "Scandal Room" Room 214 when it is not being occupied by guests. Secondly, the rooms are gorgeous with nice views. Third, the staff is extremely helpful and patient. In addition, the National Mall is a short walk from the property. And one can stroll along the Potomac as the hotel is right there. The Watergate Hotel is the best place to stay in Washington

We had a wonderful stay at The Watergate Hotel. We were in Washington, DC celebrating our daughter’s wedding. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. We had two delicious meals in The Kingbird restaurant in the hotel. We were convenient to the sights in the DC area.

It is a lovely room, and the staff is proactive (housekeeping) and responsive to requests (front desk).

I stayed 3 nights at the Watergate Hotel. The first room we got we 80 degrees when we arrived. The grate was off the air intake and something didn't look right. An engineer came up and said it was fine. When we came back after dinner it was 75 in the room despite the air being set at 68. We asked to change rooms, which they did. They were very nice and accomodating about it. Housekeeping was very spotty. They first night they did a nice job, except they threw away my valet ticket. The second night no one came and we had to ask for housekeeping. They did a fair job. Left our food service tray and dirty towels. The hotel bar was closed one night for a private event. The other incovenience is that I have not seen an itemized bill. I have requested one through the I Prefer Hotels program. I hope I get one so I can ensure its correct.

Had a great one-night business trip stay at the Watergate. Beautiful room overlooking the water, full renovation on display. It's a major step up from when I stayed there for first taste of DC tourism when I was a kid.
