Esplanade - Still THE BEST Zagreb Hotel
Couple spent a few days here for Advent. We have stayed here before, but it's been a few years. So happy to be back. This hotel is a timeless classic railroad hotel and it's aging very well. First rate room, bed, bathroom and furnishings. All in proper working order. Front desk staff, housekeeping and concierge all met and exceeded expectations. Breakfast buffet was well presented and had all the offerings one could want or you could always order al a carte. One of the country's best hotels. Can't wait for next year.

Invented credit card billing!
Be careful when giving them your credit card. They took the amount from my account for a fabricated reason and after 5 days of checking out without any proof. The hotel is listed as 5 stars and the interior, especially the bathroom, is from the time of Comrade Tito and deserves at most 2 stars and that's just because of the location. You have a lot of new and modern hotels in Zagreb so my advice is to avoid Esplanade by all means. I am writing this review as a guest who has been all over the world and over 1000 hotels and this is my first inconvenience of this kind.

One of the most beautiful places in all the country. If you can, don't miss the opportunity of staying here, it is absolutely gorgeous, and walking distance from main sites.
