Esplanade Zagreb Hotel

I was browsing online when I came across your restaurant and I must say it looks exquisite and classy. I emailed your team, and fortunately, they were able to accommodate us for dinner on 14 February. This is the perfect addition to our weekend in Zagreb. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the concierge, who guided us to the restaurant. The staff were simply exceptional—professional, welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. This is the place to go when you're looking to indulge and want something extra from a restaurant. The decor is stunning, and the food and wines are outstanding, although they are on the pricier side. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a little hamper and roses as a thoughtful treat for Valentine's Day, even though we primarily dined here to celebrate my partner's birthday. Fabulous evening.

Unfortunately, our room here was infested with ants. They told us this was a new problem and was likely due to the last guest, but we had ants get inside our medicines, toiletries, and bags. All we wanted was a refund and a new room, but since we booked with our credit card, they wouldn't provide it. The did their best to make it right with a room change, free breakfast, and late checkout, but really all I wanted was my money back after having to throw out all my medications for having ants.

Checking in on April 16 and stayed till the 18th. Smooth and quick checkin. Lovely old grand hotel in a wonderful location in Zagreb, steps from all the major tourist attractions. Rooms are in immaculate condition and service was perfect thru out our stay. Would Highly recommend,

I am a frequent guest of this hotel. The position - central and close to all, was certainly the first element for choice. The Valet parking staff is very friendly and helpful even if I request my car several times during the stay. The reception and concierge team are above and beyond, I am a demanding guest and they welcomed and fulfilled all my requests with precision and in no time. The beds are very comfortable, I always request anatomical pillows to make my night rest perfect. The illy espresso amenity is a nice addition. Good WiFi. Esplanade with it’s history has a specific style so if you are looking for modern and contemporary this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for timeless opulence and pampering you are in for a treat. If you don’t stay as guest go for brunch or aperitivo because this is an experience to really enjoy.

Absolutely lovely. Old world charm, lots of existing details - but the rooms feel clean, modern and with everything you need. Location is near train station, so a bit of a walk up into the old town, but well worth it. Breakfast was fantastic - could have stayed there all day A really lovely place to come home to after sightseeing in Zagreb!
