We absolutely loved our two night stay at the Enclave by the Vendue. There are two properties across the street from one another. All the little touches, the friendly staff, the beautiful art work and decor…we were so impressed. Special shout out to Harvey our doorman who went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday weekend special. A birthday card and champagne sent to the room, vouchers for free drinks on their rooftop bar, a bag of pastries on our door each morning, free wine tasting, Sunday morning chocolate covered strawberries and mimosas!!! I would definitely stay here again.

After reading the reviews here, we decided to book, for a long weekend, and so glad we did. The service was impeccable, the vibe and artwork is very cool, and the little extras (breakfast hanging on your doorknob each day, the bubbly at check in, the wine hour, the curator tour) really made the place a unique experience. Great location, walk to all the touristy things downtown, very comfy room. Recommend!

Wish I had booked another hotel, the worst issue is that they don't take security seriously here (our room was left ajar for who knows how long after house cleaning visited). My friend and I checked in separately, he had a much different experience than I. When I went to check in there wasn't anyone in the lobby. They don't have a check in desk so you just have to wander around and find someone. After 5/10 minutes no one showed up, so we just figured we'd come back. Came back to two men who were maybe hotels workers chatting with each other. They kept chatting while we waiting and eventually helped us but for sure made it seem like we were bothering him. My friend got offered sparking wine at check in, I didn't. We were also on the ground floor, I wish I knew to request NOT being on the ground floor. It was so loud right outside our window. Later that evening we went back for cookie hour at 9pm, saw one of the same guys there and went to grab a cookie. The guy harshly said "these are for across the street" and walked away from us. Thank goodness for the nice doorman, who was super helpful and kind. He's basically the reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1. Anyway on our second to last day we returned to our rooms at around 4pm after a day of exploring. We noticed our door propped open, so we figured house cleaning was happening then. Nope. No one was inside. Our door was just open, for anyone to enter all day. Thankfully none of our stuff was stolen, but left me feeling very unsettled. All in all, would not recommend due to not caring about security and rude check in folks.

The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. Loved the soaking tub and fireplace in the room. Art work is wonderful! Roof top bar was fun and nice view of the city. The location was very convenient to City Market, waterfront park, and great restaurants and shopping.

Discovered this hotel when searching for a place to stay on a little get away for me and the wife. Both of us being into art the listing as an art hotel sold us on the venue. When we arrived everyone was so welcoming from the valet attendants to the check inattendants! During check-in we were offered a glass of champagne which was delicious. We also arrived in time to attend the 4:00 o'clock wine tasting and 5:00 o'clock art tour by the hotel's art curator. Our visit gets 5 plus stars and we will be visiting again to check out another art installation on a future trip! Jeffrey (Alexandria VA)
