The location is beyond compare, an exquisite experience not to be missed.

For most a visit to Machu Picchu is a once in a lifetime experience, the same must be said about Sanctuary Lodge. The all inclusive experience is actually pretty good value for the money, the staff are all very focused on ensuring you are beautifully cared for and have a most memorable experience. We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. We have travelled extensively to all seven continents and the position of this hotel is the best in the world in relation to an iconic location.

Sanctuary Lodge at Machu Picchu

This is the way to do this trip. Staying for two days was great but we should have stayed 3 days! Thank you, Belmond!

Morning on Machu Picchu

Waking up steps away from Machu Picchu is a fantastic experience. The crowds are small, you can be still and hear the sound of the Urubamba river rising from the valley. The staff have surprises around every corner.

Fantastic stay and look forward to returning!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Overall amazing stay. The proximity to Machu Picchu is mere steps and totally worth avoiding the mayhem of the bus lines to and from Aqua Caliente. The hotel is luxurious and caters to all your needs and more. We were particularly blown away by the care and assistance our son received who prior to arrival had a medical concern. The hotel met us at the train and treated him like royalty before we even checked in. Overall we had a fantastic stay and I would not hesitate to recommend.

We visited Peru and the entire trip was spectacular. Orient-Express hotels provided exceptional service and world-class accommodations. We stayed at the Miraflores Park Hotel, Hotel Monasterio, and Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. All three hotels had beautiful rooms, outstanding restaurants, and a helpful friendly English-speaking staff. From now on, Orient-Express will be at the top of my list for worldwide travel.

We traveled to Peru and enjoyed stays at Miraflores Hotel in Lima, Hotel Monasterio in Cusco, and Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. I am highly satisfied and recommend these hotels without reservation.

Our travels have taken us to several Orient-Express properties. The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is exclusively situated at one of the most 'magical and mysterious' sites in the Americas, and guarantees the visitor never-to-be forgotten experiences.
